Injector Question
Ok, I've never been able to get a SOLID answer on this... Some people (Including the person at Modular Depot that wrote my original tune) have said that the "Pink" Ford injectors are 19#, but most sources I've found on the internet, such as this[/url] one (that's not the first place I'seen that number), say that the pink injectors are actually 21#. Does anyone actually KNOW? Assuming that they are 21# like I've found on the internet, what would the effects be of using them, but having the tune written for 19# injectors? Too rich? not optimal power? Wasted fuel?

I don't have a solid answer either but I'm pretty sure my '99 stockers were....orange? They certainly weren't pink.
And if you're tune and injectors were mismatched I would think you'd be rich, at least at WOT. Only a 2# diff, don't know if for driving around town the PCM could compensate with the trims to shorten up your pulse widths...or even if that would eventually result in a CEL?

color has nothing to do with it. I found some blue 19Lbs, not 39 like usual. also found some red 19lbs not 30s like usual.
google the part number and you will find out for sure what they are.

The part numbers on the injectors are fote-9f593-d9b (Ford) and 280150561 (Bosch), and there's information both ways out there. Some say it's a 19#, others say it's a 21# or 22#.

I have an 02 GT, my factory injectors were pink. Not sure on the # numbers however. I assumed they 21.

When I took mine apart to install my supercharger etc, my Injectors had the "Pink tops". I'm pretty positive they were 19lb Injectors.

That's the problem with the "Pink tops". Nobody seems to know what they are. I think they're the "Red-Headed step-child" of the injector world. I'd probalby be better off replacing them with known 19# injectors, or getting larger injectors and adjusting the tune accordingly.

If you are going to buy injectors, I would go a little bigger, in case you had more power later. The cost will probably be around if not the same.
